ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs0.75 per unit in electricity tariffs across the country under the monthly fuel cost adjustment for June.

According to an official notification, the revised tariff will apply to consumers nationwide, including those served by K-Electric, and the additional charges will be reflected in electricity bills issued in August.
The increase is lower than the Rs1.20 per unit adjustment sought by the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) for June.
The latest revision follows a Rs0.34 per unit increase approved under the monthly fuel cost adjustment for May, adding further pressure on electricity consumers amid rising utility costs.
