Fahad Mustafa calls on Punjab government to reconsider cinema closing hours
Pakistani actor and producer Fahad Mustafa has requested the Punjab government to review the current closing timings of malls and cinemas, saying the restrictions are negatively affecting newly released films and reducing opportunities for audiences to watch movies.
In a letter shared on Instagram and addressed to Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Mustafa highlighted that most cinemas are located inside shopping malls, making them directly impacted by the early-closing policy introduced as part of austerity measures.
He urged the government to reconsider cinema operating hours, stating that the limited timings are affecting film screenings, box office performance, and the overall entertainment industry.
